Blackwood Legal Receptionist

We are a suburban law firm in Pukekohe. We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive, client-centred legal services through the collective experience and expertise of our lawyers, legal executives, and support staff. 

Due to a busy and growing practice, we have an opportunity for a Legal Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.  

The individual we are seeking to join our team will have a friendly, helpful can-do attitude, be self-motivated and ideally either have previous experience working in a law office or have a definite interest in working in a law office.  

Also, relevant computer and associated technology experience is essential as well as attention to detail, strong communication skills, with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a time-sensitive industry along with the self-discipline to work in a team.  

Your role would include:

  • Greeting clients
  • Answering telephones 
  • Making appointments
  • Collecting AML client due diligence documentation from clients 
  • Opening and closing files in line with the firms procedures
  • Maintaining and updating our client database
  • Assisting our team with preparing legal documents and invoicing 
  • Recording receipts and payments duties from the firms Trust Account
  • General reception duties
