Excellence in Community Contribution

This award recognises organisations that implement initiatives that have a positive impact on the community and generate outcomes that have long-term benefits. Initiatives can include but are not limited to projects, programs, processes, systems, technologies, developments, ventures and undertakings.

Here are some basic examples of how a business may contribute to its community:

1. Corporate social responsibility (CSR): A commitment by a business to operate in an ethical and sustainable manner and to contribute to the well-being of the communities in which it operates. This can include initiatives such as charitable donations, volunteer work, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices.
2. Employee volunteering: Encouraging and supporting employees to volunteer in the community can help build strong relationships between the business and the community, as well as promote employee engagement and well-being. 
3. Community partnerships: Collaborating with local organisations, governments, and stakeholders to support community initiatives and address social and environmental issues can help businesses build trust and credibility with the community. 
4. Philanthropy: Donating funds and resources to charitable organisations and community initiatives can help businesses make a meaningful and positive impact on the community. 

These are just a few examples of how businesses can make excellent community contributions. By investing in the well-being of the community and the environment, businesses can build trust, strengthen relationships, and contribute to the long-term sustainability and success of the communities in which they operate.

All submissions are completed online and comprise of a set of 4 -5 questions relating to the specific category. Submissions open on 6 April and close on 1 June.
