Franklins Bar & Eatery
This month we attended a Masterclass in Japanese Whisky at Franklins Bar & Eatery.
On arrival, we received a tap beer at the bar and took a seat in front of five glasses to taste a range of exclusive Yamazaki, Hakushu, Hibiki and Chitta whiskys, including some very rare single malt casks.
Before trying each whisky, we listened to Rory explain its origin and taste and how it differs from the previous whisky.

There was a great atmosphere throughout the night and we would recommend the event to whisky novices and experts alike!

To ensure everyone was well fed during the tastings, we were treated to delicious nibbles throughout the night - the Wagyu beef risotto balls were definitely a favourite of ours.
The next masterclass is happening on Monday, July 19th at 6.30 pm and guests will be sampling a range of Ardbeg whisky, an award-winning distillery based in Scotland. Samples include expressions that can no longer be purchased, as well as the latest 2021 Committee Release.
